Case Study
John and Janet Wilson are working in Asia and are concerned that property
prices are rising steeply in the UK.
They are keen to get a foothold in the UK property market so that
they are not priced out of the market when they return to the UK.
As they do not know exactly how long they wish to remain in Asia they
wish to let the UK property until they return.
They decide to take out a loan for 80% of the purchase price and put
down a deposit for the remaining 20%.
In consultation with their financial advisor they set up a funding
arrangement to repay the loan over a 20-year term. |
